WORKSHOPS CINE SIN FRONTERAS, 17o FICV, VALDIVIA.

Cine Sin Fronteras (Cinema Without Borders) is a specialized workshop with a scope on networking directed to European and Latin-American film circulation professionals (distribution, screening and diffusion). The workshop has the objective of improving the circulation of European films in Latin-America, and of Latin-American films in Europe, through the training and specialization in topics related to this stage in the chain of rights and to networking. Each year, 6 Latin-American and 6 European participants are selected to take the workshop. Cine sin Fronteras has two annual sessions, one in March, in the Rencontres de Cinémas de Amérique Latine Festival from Toulouse, and another, in the Valdivia International Film Festival in October, 7 months later.

The workshops are conducted by professionals and experts in fields related to the circulations of audiovisual works. In its 2010 Valdivia edition, the workshop will concentrate particularly on:

- Networking: creating a network, its functioning, methodological and financial aspects

- Developing an audience

- International Market

- International funding and support to foster screening and distribution.

Cine Sin Fronteras is funded in part by MEDIA International, and is directed by a consortium formed by four partners: CICAE (International Confederation of Art Cinemas), EUROPA DISTRIBUTION (an international distribution network), the Rencontres Cinémas d’Amerique Latine Festival of Toulouse and the Valdivia International Film Festival.
